| Comments: | Whether you've always wanted to give glassblowing a try, or you're looking for advanced instruction on particular techniques, here's your opportunity. We offer private, one-on-one lessons on the art and craft of blown glass. Our goal is to help you learn more about working this fascinating material, whether you're starting at square one or somewhere further along. At the introductory level, you will learn how to gather molten glass from the furnace, how to apply color, and how to blow a bubble (it's harder than it looks!). Our goal isn't simply to let you watch us make a paperweight or craft a cup that you take home; our goal is to have you experience the process of making it yourself. At the intermediate level, our instruction is tailored accomplish your goals, to build on your skills, and to push your imagination. Whether you're interested in working with optic molds or spinning platters, trying your hand at solid sculpture, or crafting a better ornament, we're here to guide you. Classes are scheduled at mutually-convenient times (including some evenings and weekends). Each session runs a minimum of 3 hours, ensuring you have plenty of time to try your hand at the techniques we teach; the cost is $65 per hour.
